Fujitsu U1010 (U810/U8240/U50) Unboxed

One lucky dude in Australia got his hands on a Fujitsu U1010 and posted unboxing pics.  40 pictures in all.  You can really tell how small the stormtrooper really is.

As I’ve mentioned earlier, I’m not much of a fan of it.  5.6″ screen at 1024×600.  I’ll go blind.  Forget about touch typing with such a tiny keyboard.  How about the tab key?  Need to press the function key to access the directional arrow keys and F1-F12?  I’d feel odd using a bluetooth keyboard sitting next to a mini-convertible.  Ugh.

I can see the use as a mobile companion.  Would be great for use in a car or a train, but it’s just not for me.  The winged U50XNX with HSDPA (I’m calling it the tie-fighter) woud be cool for an on-the-go device, but I doubt it’ll ever make it over to the US.
