This is a rip off!!!! I've paid for four (2 to home, 2 elsewhere) and BOTH broke. They do not answer email and do not give a phone number. I am NOT buying any more and recommend that noone else does, either. They are less-than reliable and there is zero/zip/no support, help or anything. If it breaks, tough.

For those of you who received your laptops. Did the delivery man ring the bell or require a signature? How did you get it? Or were you staying at place with a porter or doorman or front desk so did not have this problem?

What boggles the mind is that the notification email from OLPC came AFTER the product was delivered so there was NO way that we could even make sure we're waiting to receive the package!

I was a first-day donor.

I got a short email today from OLPC saying I won't be getting a laptop until 1/15.

No explanation for why I'm not getting mine vs. other first-day donors getting theirs.

Basically just a "too bad for you" note.

They've really screwed this up pretty badly.

Thanks. Actually, the lady on the phone gave me the actual FedEx tracking number along with the confirmation code that starts with 70000. I've read you can enter the confirmation code into the Fedex form as the reference number.

Quick question: When you pulled up your tracking information into the FedEx form did you enter your "confirmation number" in the Reference field and enter the Destination Country and Postal Code? Basically, how did you get to that screen above and what did you have to enter?

I've sent numerous e-mails asking for tracking information and finally received my confirmation number and a URL to FedEx. No instructions on what to enter.

Good luck with your shipment!
