What’s with all the give-a-way’s?

Pocketables gave away a small prize package for guessing Jenn’s next purchase.

Engadget is giving away a HTC Shift.

TabletBlog is pairing paired up with Dynamism to give away a Nokia N810.

UMPC Portal likes the idea too and is pairing up with Mobilx to give away a WiBrain B1 UMPC.

GottaBeMobile is even jumping on the bandwagon and giving away its own Matt Faulkner.. if they let him out of the cube.

So how about here? I’m not so sure about buying readers.. but I don’t want to leave my current awesome readers in the dust.. So I’ll try something. If this post receives 30 comments by midnight tonight, I will purchase the item below, probably do an unboxing video and first impressions, then do a give-a-way contest.

Damn straight! Again, if this post gets 30 comments by midnight tonight, I will order a pair of Bumper Nuts Blue Balls edition and run a give-a-way contest. No joke!

    Haha, well, the time limit has passed so I doubt I'll go through with it. It does give me an idea of doing reviews of cheap, useless gadgets though. Things I can collect and stick on my shelf.

    Haha no worries Jenn. If this becomes reality, I'm curious who would actually want to enter the contest to win the prize.
    I'm sure there are some who enter contests, just to enter, regardless of the prize.

    Rex, yes I've seen many prize contests. I've been a distant fan of bumper nuts for quite some time now so perhaps it's time to show my love for their products. (yes i'm joking)
    I am serious about the give-a-way. Basically to get a laugh out of it.

    They're quite common... many sites always have one running.
    Lots of times, it's to promote the product that they're giving away. Like, some company is giving that website their product to promote it... (maybe cheaper, and more effective than advertisement)
